supports the organic farmers in promoting,
marketing, developing and increasing the
value of their products in the domestic
and international market.
This unit provides the distribution channels,
facilitates the achievement of bio market
for the farmers, aware the consumers regarding
the ecological and nutritious values of
organic products, and improves the performance
of organic products in the market paying
attention to some important elements as:
packaging, labeling, etc.
The marketing unit is making efforts to
create private structures which will turn
their activity to a profitable business.
The marketing unit is functioning according
to a pre-strategy, which aim is the increment
of the welfare and the improvement of Albanian
organic farmers’ situation through organic
agriculture implementation.
Increasing
and strengthening image techniques
MDU in a close cooperation with SASA Project
partners is creating a special label, which
will distinguish the organic products in
the market. Meanwhile, the respective working
group is creating a draft upon the private
organic standards of the biological agriculture
association, Bioadria, where the farmers
who accomplish the standard conditions are
allowed to use the organic label on the
products and their packaging material.
Packaging
Another important issue is the products’
packaging in the points of sale. It is strongly
important that all of us are making efforts
to differentiate organic products from conventional
ones, but it is important to have a clear
position of the product in consumer mind
too. This is the reason why we should continuously
improve our work to obtain a better product
packaging and first consumer contact in
the points of sale. MDU will proceed with
different techniques and strategies to inform
and increase the consumer interest regarding
organic products and also to increase organic
agriculture application possibilities in
Albania.
The broad
distribution of Bio label
MDU is operating closely with the retail
and wholesale shops in order to implement
a production plan in long and short term
aiming partialy or totally convertion to
organic. Our marketing staff, also supported
by the external expert help has a high level
of knowledge in agriculture, distribution
and supply chain management, product development
and marketing field.
Development
in organic farms
We offer our collaboration and support to
the existing organic farmers and the new
producers too, in order to ensure new contract
and market possibilities for organic products
and to further plan its production and wide
expansion oriented to market and consumer
demand. A new focus on our up to date work
is the increment of the farmers’ visibility
in a regional and international level.
Development
of other marketing tools
We support businesses in developing and
implementing the organic products programs
through providing information, usage of
different consulting and marketing tools.
Our marketing tools include support for
performing the marketing elements of individual
organic farms, promoting and publishing
activities, information provided by our
website, data base, trainings, conferences
etc. We support the establishment of such
regional and international activity cooperation.
